Art is fun! I need to remember that...

Hey so as I am here learning and trying to improve my craft, I realized it was feeling like work. I was being so focused on trying to learn and fix that I was not having as much fun or felt as free and I wanted. So I started doodling and doing some non portfolio work. I was still thinking about the principles of what I was learning but my focus was just drawing stuff I like, not composing a piece. Also I felt way more free to try new stuff and make mistakes with all this new information I was getting.
Any way here are some pieces I did just for fun and to explore some new techniques and as a reminder to myself as much as anyone else, to have fun!

I'm a transformers fan but never really tried drawing them, felt like they were so complicated that I never attempted them. Turns out they're not that difficult and lots of fun!

added some more characters to this one. I feel like I could just keep these in my back pocket for something to play with when I need inspiration or just to unwind. Its been pretty enjoyable! Also I have learned a lot about how I like to work and what works for me and what doesn't from the SVS classes

@scotthigginsart so cool! Also yes its a great thing to dare yourself to draw that thing that kind of sacres you because you start uncovering new ways to draw and a bit more about yourself. That’s why instead of drawing a puppet show (talking heads) comic I try and put as much varied stuff as I can.

Practicing my rendering and redid one of my previous illustrations.
