Hello everyone!
Im trying to be more active on here so I decided to introduce myself! I'm someone who loves to draw and am focused on improving my skills. I have a full-time job as a clinical trial researcher and find myself staying up at night experimenting with drawing. I use art as an outlet but want to try and see how far I can go with it as well. Im still very much in the beginning stages and finding my way. I'm excited to be part of SVS! looking forward to improving my craft. Hi Anum,Welcome to the SVS Forum! Do feel free to ask any questions. It's great to see people's artwork, so do post your work here to share your progress, if you want to. We're a lovely group. Although, if you post your work, it's worth also stating whether you are just sharing or would like critique from us peers. Our beloved pros (Lee, David etc) sometimes chip in too.
Staying up and night because you're inspired to draw is a good sign that you'll go far with it! Although, I do hope you're getting enough sleep.
I went from working as a clinical nutritionist and lecturer to illustration, and love what I do now. Art was definitely an outlet for me too, but I'm still interested in the sciencey stuff.Have you done many of the SVS courses yet? I found that steadily working through the curriculum really helps.
I took a look at your website. I love your Mughal works! I'm currently illustrating an Indian story. Working on the character designs right now.Best wishes to you.

@Adam-Thornton-0 Thanks so much Adam! glad to hear im not the only one with a science background here! Im currently working through the art fundamentals course and am on the perspective assignment that I haven't had a chance to start. But once things get a little more on schedule Im hoping to get that done this week. oh wow would love to see your character design work when you are ready!
