My Daily Drawing Plan

I'm sad to hear about Critique Arena. I was ready to bring on more intensity for that this year, as I gradually build my portfolio.
For those who may be looking for a different option of having a monthly prompt challenge, I did some research while prepping for the new year, and I even made a couple lists of my own.

My Disney list (50 prompts, 1 character/illustration each)

My Harry Potter prompt list (10 prompts) is for September, and I just have animals for this, but you can easily switch it up.

I'll be sharing my progress here as I try to draw every day in 2023.

@kayleenartlover Wow... this list is mighty ambitious... as a newbie artist, it's overwhelming for me to think I can pull something off like that! So kudos to you for laying out the grand plan!

So is your goal to do a daily drawing by picking one of these lists (daily and monthly)?

I love this so much! I just ordered Bullet Journal materials, hoping to get organized, having ADHD makes me feel bonkers sometimes. I made a decision to focus this year on time management and being kind to myself and trust all things are working out.

I love how you are ambitious with your list. I'd love to get some kind of prompt thing going here, wondering if you are wanting to do this in place of Critique Arena? I'm on board with whatever you guys are doing!

@Mewie There are popular challenges like Inktober where it's one prompt per day, but I couldn't find one for every month. Then I knew about stuff that is one prompt per week or month instead of per day. (Inktober52 and Character Design Challenge). So I figured some days could be focused on those challenges when I don't have a prompt already to work on.
But for the ones meant to be done in a single day, I don't want to spend more than an hour on it. It's to just get a habit of using my sketchbook every day and not be precious with it. Also to combat "Blank Page Paralysis" so I don't waste that hour doom-scrolling on Pinterest for reference ideas.

@kayleenartlover Ahh that makes a lot of sense. How fun to know your sketchbook is going to be filled with great ideas, prompts, and sketches.

Nice, yeah I'm a bit bummed as well for much the same reason, was really looking forward to contributing to it this year. But on to other things I suppose.
