My Comic Book
-
Hey everyone I used I just wanted to share what I did with the inktober promt list. I’ve always wanted to create my graphic novel but I was always afraid to get started. I used the inktober prompt list from 2020. I was able to create 29 pages combining words to create full comic layout spreads. It took a while with working full-time but I’m happy to say I was able to complete it. Just thought I share.
You can see more of it on my portfolio www.acpillo.com

@ACPetullo Congrats! It’s tough working making a comic!!

Thank you! It's not easy but super fun!

@ACPetullo Congratulations! Comics are quick and easy to read. But it's not easy to create them, and I think that's the hardest part. I love comics. For me, they are an easy way to communicate ideas. The visual medium of comics is a powerful tool for storytelling. Comics are the perfect medium for expressing a story. But I don't think I could create something like that on my own.

@Betty-Nieves Comics are also a great way to draw the reader into the characters’ world.
Congrats, @ACPetullo, the book looks awesome!

I agree with you. I would give it a shot! For me I’ve had this idea in my head for seven years. Are use the Inktober prompt list to help me create the layout and gave myself as much time as possible to finish it just to say I did it regardless of selling it and etc. I just needed to get it out! Lol
My goal next is to actually sit down and writer it all out. Start planting the seeds for the actual book itself.
Like the folks that run this great school say, just make a couple pages just to get a feel for something. You don’t have to make a whole comic book maybe three pages. Go for it!
@danielerossi thank you !!!
