Licensing Question

Hey, y'all! I've been doing some research/reading about licensing artwork. I watched the Gina Lee classes and both were really informative, I just want to make sure I cover all the bases before moving forward.
One website says before you begin, "You must trademark your business to have anything to license." Has anyone else ever heard this? Another says you have to register and copyright all of your artwork. Again, anyone??
For those who are already licensing, do you have a separate website for that artwork or just a separate page?
