Hi, Anyone else about to start (or just started) @shanehunt's vehicle design class? Looking for virtual classmates to more or less simultaneously go through the process, share assignments, get feedback, etc. I think I'll be able to average one assignment a week, starting today... Anyone? :-]
Hi, do you know how advanced this class is? I would have time to do it, but I may not be up to the challenge yet.
@Lize It's in the second tier of the curriculum, number 6 on the 'path' – I think if you've finished the basics (perspective and light&shadow) and feel comfortable about it you should be up for the prop design or vehicle design class. :-]
Okay, I think I should be able to keep up then. I'm in! So the deadline for sharing the first assignment would be next monday?

Your drawings look great! I just finished the prop design class, I was planning to take the vehicle design course today. I hope to post the assignments here soon!

I have been spending a lot of time trying to figure some things out; which app (none feel 'right', I havent got enough practise with them yet), how to organise some sort of workflow within the app, and then I struggle with the drawing / inking (sketching feels okay for the stage I'm at).
Here's one example, as it's been a week. Not super happy with it, but I couldn't have done it a week ago, so at least there's progress
It's been cool (and a little intimidating) to see your results! I'll try to catch up a bit if I can.
Assignment 2: Here are some vehicle designs that I drew up for a desert bounty hunter character. I was kind of struggling with the whole form and function idea but I think I get it now. Please let me know if you have any pointers or comments.
