Hi, I keep being dragged from my own drawing goals to small illustation projects through family and friends. A bit tiresome but also fun at times, it is still practice and it is useful. This time the project was creating a set of dancing cats to be printed on stickers, representing the main irish competition dances. Irish dance Feis approaching at my daughter’s dance school.
It was quite a challenge, because it is difficult to capture the dance in one still illustration, and to the eye of someone not actually dancing the dances, they look preety much all the same 🙂 So I had a lot of input from my kid, and I watched videos in slow motion, and the dance teacher actually ckecked the cats posture like they were dancers in class - “ this leg straighter.. more point, this leg needs more turn out” 😹🤪
I hope they turned out ok, I quite like them so I wish to share them here. Please tell me wich is your favourite :)) Perhaps there is an irish dancer in the forum? :))))
