What's it like being an illustrator?
I’m trying to get a feeling for what it’s like to be a professional illustrator. I’ve prepared some questions that I hope will give me a better understanding of what that might be like. I’d really appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
• What made you decide you wanted to pursue a career in illustration?
• How did you develop the skills to be an illustrator? How did you get to where you are today? Knowing what you know now, would you have done anything differently? If so, what?
• Describe what a typical day is like for you as an illustrator. (What is a typical day like from start to finish? How many hours a day do you typically work? How much of your time is spent illustrating as opposed to doing something else?)
• What is your favorite thing about your career? What is your least favorite?
check out Will's youtube videos. He talks about all this stuff at length. So does jake on his channel.

Sweet! Thanks a bunch!
Also, @Lee-White walks you through what his daily schedule can look like in his class "How to Make Money in Illustration". It's three parts, can't remember offhand which part it's in but I recommend the class.
