Yeti final sketch WIP
I just did the 5 drawings! I need to fix some fingers, but other than that I think it's good to go! Does anything look like it's placed wrong or the perspective is off? The idea is that he's a little "snow ball" and he can tuck in his arms and legs and roll around.
Also, quick question. For the competition you have to be an svs member right? How do they know you're a member?

Illustrations of two OG characters. Feedback please?
So I started drawing these two guys, Alfred the Penguin and Shadow the Leopard Seal little over a year ago due to some Inktober 52 prompts. I think these are my best ones and was hoping I could get some feedback? Technical drawing, but most if you can see a story in them and their personalities. I post these on Instagram so they get a caption but I feel like people usually don't read them.
Thank you so much for your time! You are all wonderful!

Hi! Thoughts on a few new pieces?
Hi! My name is Meg Clayburn. I graduated from BYU with a BS in Design last June. I want to be a children's book illustrator with some small projects on the side. Just wanted to introduce myself and drop
some personal projects to see what y'all think!

RE: Wip Yeti
@kylebeaudette I like him! He looks a little like cookie monster to me. I think it's a great I idea to use this to work on something you might not have experience with. For the fur though, maybe try drawing more the shapes that lots of fur makes instead of the individual strands?

Yeti WIP
Right now all I have got it sketches, except for the one with some color. I'm just trying to narrow down the design so I can get some more final sketches done to tweak out the final details before I do a turnaround. So which concept is working for you so far?
1.
Yeti mountain
2.
Yeti snow ball3.

RE: Yeti WIP
@doro_thea @DaveLeekArt @Rekha-Salin-0 @jdubz @Brandon-Garcia-0 and anyone else, I did a couple more designs of the abominable snowball guy. What do you think? (Just looking at the overall design) are there aspects of these I would mix?
1.
I was thinking this one could suck in his arms and legs and become a ball that rolls around.
2.
3.
I was thinking this one would be tall and walk over trees and stuff.4.

RE: Your Art Resolutions for 2021
@Jim-Algar I really like this thread! I'm going to improve on my figure drawings skills so I can work on making human characters. All of mine are animals and I've been using "that's my style" as an excuse for it to stay that way. I'm also going to better at documenting and sharing, and to do this I'm going to post on Instagram 5 days a week for the year and hopefully into the foreseeable future.
Thanks for this! I've been thinking about this a lot, and it's nice to put it out in front of other people making the same goals!

RE: January Prompt WIP (Critiques Requested)
@Kalimostlypaints it looks really good, my suggestion is to look at the balance of the little boy. I think the leg closest to is should be closer to the footprint than the one further away from the footprint... The feet look like you could draw a horizontal line right under them wish makes the back one look longer. It's a super cute idea and the composition is great!

Examples of shops for prints
Hi everyone! I'm starting to put together a shop to sell prints and such, and am trying to find some good examples to look at! Anyone got a shop I could look at? Anyone have any advice, like the most important thing you did that you think got the ball rolling for you? Thank you so much! Excited to see your shop!

RE: Illustrations of two OG characters. Feedback please?
@Casual-T I agree more personality would be useful, I think I need to get to know my characters a little better and flush them out more. Thank you!!!

RE: Illustrations of two OG characters. Feedback please?
@Melissa-Bailey-0 thank you! I hadn't realized that shadow was in the same pose in all of them! I'll work on that see what more I can get out of him. Planning on more stories to come, been thinking about doing some misadventures, just haven't quite picked the right one to start with. Been working on expressions with these two, but I think in going to push it till I go too far then pull back. Thank you so much for your feed back! It means a lot!
