Did a real quick, sloppy mermaid today.
I'm a 59 year old Grandma pursuing my dream from an earlier life.
I have Clipstudio Pro and a little huion tablet that I have barely used.
I am interested in photoshop. I have GIMP and am somewhat familiar with it but I know that most people use photoshop.
Do I need both Photoshop and Clipstudio Pro? How is illlustrator different from regular photoshop? I can look that up, I guess.
I have had one photoshop class for design but no illustrator. I had the Craetive Cloud for a year at the student rate. I'm going to call and see if I can talk them into a senior discount for a non professional
This is what I want to start with:
Work traditionally and scan my work into the computer and then make adjustments and move things around, add text, etc.
I might then print it out and do all the coloring traditionally again.
I am not techy (in fact my husband says I have a technology dampening field :-). He says I should have been Amish....oh well.) So, any tips on how I can ease my way in and what should I use? It takes me forever to draw and redraw and resize on my own. I'd like to try and be more efficient. Thanks!
@Chip-Valecek I like that eye among all the gray. I would love to see all your horror pictures all togther thumbnail style when you're done.....have you considered that? It's tough to do 100 of anything. I admire you. Especially when you're actually doing a finished drawing. I've been doing Mermay-some are more well doen than others and I am going to be happy when it's done...but, I am drawing everyday!
Thank you! I understand the concepts but I just, for some reason, have a hard tiem visualizin git on the paper. That looks like the book I have. Love it! I was lazy and didn't get it out and was trying to do it on my own but, I don't think I'm there yet I appreciate your comments and will definitely post again when I redo it. Thanks!
@Sara-Hickman thank you! I was thinking it might be better to zoom in a bit and crop it. Maybe that would help? Thanks for your observations !
@ShannonBiondi Thank you for taking on the project. I'm sure Will will be very touched by it.
