My dream has come true. Eli has been brought to life. I can now illustrate what has been in my head! My art is nowhere near as great as some, but my book looks professional, and I was able to tell my story - visually! These courses work! Just make sure you take them in order as they build on themselves. I am already in 2 school libraries and it feels great to sign and see others excited about my book! Making the choice to draw my own stories and taking courses on SVS learn was the best decision I have made! ! amazon.com/author/mariannehegg

For my daughter, whom doesn't think it is a mermaid if it doesn't look like "the" mermaid. Of course, a few decades ago, I didn't either so...

Favorite 3 point perspective cartoons
My favorite art pieces on SVS so far are the rabbit cartoons for 3 point perspective. I love them. I think I'm going to turn them into a calendar for the office. I draw a lot of cartoons in fact it's mostly what I do and almost every office in my building and the buildings around me have a cartoon of something I find funny up on their wall. The rabbit has taught me that consistency in character through many different topics will really enhance my cartoons. I just need to figure out what that is for me. In the meantime I learn a lot for every one of those that pops up. I study and I break it down. Not sure who drew it but if you do do you mind if I turn it into a calendar for the office?

RE: 10 steps to digital painting
It was actually learning about the different types of shadows and when and how to put them in. Every step was eye opening though. I wished I'd taken it earlier. Super great class.

@lmrush hi, so I like the story here, and it fits the contest well but I really love the bird and the fish. Wondering if you can play with it to be almost a fine art type piece? You really have a gift!!
