I did this yesterday and was wondering what you think. I'm new to doing people and wanted to learn as much as i could before taking on the challenge. skin and the anatomy of the face has always been scary.
Hi everyone I woke up yesterday and thought of doing some fish spot art illustrations for my portfolio, and this is what I came up with at the end of the day. I have never really done any fish so I thought it would be a good idea to do some.
I have posted it because i know the people on here are great and would love some feed back on this before I put it on to my web site.
Really nice colour comps Audrey. I like 4 the best Because I really like the green chair. I have an idea to make the back door way cool and the light from the lamp warming there faces and that whole area. just a thought because i think the door way is catching my attention a little bit more than needed. I may be wrong. what do you think.
@amberwingart I do have a children's book agent but When I got my first job It was only $700 for a 10 spread book which was very low and I didn't feel great doing it, also this was 5 years ago. but i was new to children's book so i did it to gain the experience. But I think that for a first book I wouldn't go lower than $150-$200 per spread.
I am still new to children's book but last year I got 3 baby books to illustrate. I got $8.000 each for 2 of them, and the other one was a baby counting book and I got $12.000. also I got 6 text book covers to illustrate for $1400 for each one.
So $200 is terrible.
Hi everyone . I am currently working on this image and thought I could get some feed back as I haven't ever done an image like this before. I'm doing an image
about a steam engine type airship. It is based in a town 30 minutes from where I live in England called Iron bridge. Perspective is something I wanted to tackle. Would love to know your thoughts.
Hi Anya. Your drawing in looking really nice. I used a grid and I think this is where your perspective is. As you can see the book shelf behind the girl is off slightly and the books on the table have there own perspective on the horizon line because there are turned. Hope this helps abit
This is a book I had published about 5 years ago
