So many great illustrations this month. This was a truly fun challenge. Thanks again to all who helped me decide on which image to use. I chose the one that I liked best in the end though. I think of my time as a young kid and having my grandfather bring home a little live octopus one year for supper. It squirmed and wiggled and tried to get out of his bucket. I never ate it but they did (the adults). Anyway, drew this little guy trying to escape a dinner party... Hope you like it!

RE: January Contest! FEARLESS!
New to this forum and new to an Ipad Pro... When they were little my kids always fought us to eat their vegetables. This is what I thought fearless was for them. This is quick as I'm sort of late hearing about this competition...

RE: FEBRUARY CONTEST
@paulobordon i see patrick (the starfish). where's spongebob (yellow sponge). a subtle cameo would be funny... can't read what the title of his book is. could it be "humans for dinner"? or "20,000 leagues under the sea"? your image is fun. nice job. good luck!

RE: Cintiq users, what sort of computer set up do you have?
@eric-castleman that should make a fine computer. Bought a certified refurbished Dell with roughly the same specs for about $600 a month ago off Amazon. I don't own a Cintiq yet but Photoshop CS works great. Plenty of power and storage. Paid about 3x that for my last quad core Pentium system that I built and it lasted about 10 years... Good luck!

RE: Color advice
@eric-castleman orange, purple and green are triadic colors. i see a lot of blue-purple so your other two colors should be more of a red-orange and yellow-green. the yellow-green seems to be there even though it is subtle and not bright. i like the image... maybe added a touch of green to the fish over the door to break up all that blue and create a triangle of green. see if you artist brother likes it then. nice work though...
