RE: MARCH CONTEST: Fairy-Tale Traveler
Here is my entry for this one, which has been a beautiful journey to create. This is Arien, she has a fire inside that she has had to learn to use for in the right way for her journey to help her people. I too have a quokka in my story, which is an Australian animal, and for those who have never heard of one, google it, it will make your day so much brighter X K

RE: FEBRUARY CONTEST: YETI COOKING
I‘m so sorry I have to be a real nerd and clarify the ‘flare’ part of the prompt - is that a typo and you mean flair or do you actually mean like a fiery flare? Or am I over thinking it

RE: Musicians of Bremen, How does it look?
As someone who lives out in the bush with chickens and pigs and a dog I can fully appreciate the context of this illustration and it makes me giggle when I think about how our animals like to make chaotic choruses together haha love it! On the technical side, I am not super experienced myself, I have only just started learning more about illustrating but I really like the composition and I do love the story it’s telling

RE: How to make it to the top 16
I love that you’ve brought this up and put it into points like this. I’m a beginner story illustrator, and I have always thought that these contests were to help us follow, design and execute a very specific prompt. So I do get somewhat confused when I work so hard to follow the prompts, to train myself to be able to deliver what is being asked (I don’t though, I think I have to work on my style and learn to break out of my comfort zone more but you know what I mean..) I would definitely like to get more clarification on this
You are very spot on with your points and they’re really good advice, thanks so much for sharing -

RE: MARCH CONTEST: Fairy-Tale Traveler
@RachelArmington so does that mean people can potentially have a few entries selected for the top 16? I’m still a little confused about it, I missed the zoom demo
