Hello fellow Canadian!
Looking forward to seeing your 4–7 year plan develop!
I'm an imaginator with a love of stories, and a desire to bring a smile into people's lives.
Like the style!
I agree with Chip, one of the best ways to show energy is in the expression, particularly, in my opinion, with the eyes. Skottie Young has good examples of characters that are definitely energetic, but you can tell when they're in their 'calm' mode. Maybe see if you can incorporate some of his style into your's?
Hope that helps!
Amazon summary of the book:
“Book 1, Beyond the Summerland, is where the adventure begins for a band of young Novaana, eager to serve and rule the four regions of the world of Kirthanin. Kirthanin is enjoying a time of peace, though Malek, Master of the Forge, and the betrayer of old, controls Agia Muldonai, the Holy Mountain. Malek’s servants are growing bolder and venturing further from their mountain stronghold, and the fragility of Kirthanin’s peace is growing ever clearer. Join this adventure of friendship, love, and betrayal. Ride through majestic forests and sail the forgotten waters. Rest a while in a summer paradise and walk the streets of an ancient and forbidden city. It will be the greatest challenge of their lives, but it is only the beginning."
I would suggest C.
Not only does the gesture capture more of the feeling of Venom (he was pretty aggressive), but if this piece might be used as part of promotion, I can see more places that they can put type and other graphic elements in 'C' than I can see in 'A' without messing with the focus of the image.
Looks like a fun piece!
