Here is my entry, I am more of an environment artist I think, so I went down that road this time.

I will kick things off with this.
Here is my entry into this months competition. It is what I had when I became Independent.
My Painting based on the Jack the Giant Killer/slayer story. I can't resize the image or add my name though because my computer has died... I spent most of my time working out the composition then I just went for it. Probably my best painting to date so I'm very happy
Painted in oils by Jason Bowen
Do you think this fairly loose style would be suitable for illustrating books? I've tried various ways and this style suits me the most but I'm unsure if it will be worth getting a portfolio together to try and get work or I should go down the most well known artist route and sell paintings and prints... Any advice welcome... I'm going to test my work on society6 anyway as I have been asked for prints for my work.
Recently I decided to give up with digital art because I just don't feel right doing it, I guess I don't enjoy it as much as painting. So I thought what am I doing get back to painting. So I have, and I am hopefully getting this painting in a museum. To be confirmed. Saying that I have learnt a lot from studying art in different media it's the final image that matters not how you get there.
Oil paints forever lol
Hey so I have gone for the first emotion that popped into my head haha. My neighbours at my old place use to like blasting music out late into the early morning which gave me the idea of this chap. Does it look finished to you, I am trying not to over work it? Thanks for checking this out
