Whoa! So many unique takes on this prompt. Here's my (not so unique) submission. Good luck y'all and have a safe and happy New Year.
Here's my entry for this month. I wanted to do a piece that would tie into Earth Day so a recycle-bot seemed appropriate. Good luck everyone!
Here's mine. Good luck everyone!
Hey everyone! I haven't entered for a few months, but I couldn't pass on a halloween theme ...a vampire party that runs out of blood. Good luck y'all!
Here is my entry for this month. Good work everyone!
I haven't entered the monthly contest in a while, but here goes....good luck everyone!
Wow! Good stuff everyone. Here's my entry...the premise is a botanist girl brings her dog back as a hybrid dog/plant. Good luck everyone!
I see have no chance of winning due to the overwhelming amount of AMAZING work submitted. Good work y'all and happy new year!
I decided to try something different this month... inspired by Greg Pizzoli and screen printing. I'm not sure if it works, but it was a fun little experiment. Good luck everyone!
@Paula-Morgan Looking at your work you don’t look lost to me. You definitely have a unique style which is HUGE. The one thing I notice is that there is less story telling in your work than your dream portfolio. I think adding some minimal background or accessories to suggest more of a narrative to your pieces would help it feel less sparse. Keep it up!
My first post in a loooooong time. Here is my entry for the October contest. Looking good everybody. Keep it up and good luck!
Can anybody tell what is happening in this piece? I know the drawing is still pretty rough and they're aspects that don't make sense yet (like how the balloons are attached), but I want to work out the pose of the little girl before I start to tighten it up.
Any feedback is welcome and appreciated. Thanks!
This is a very strong start. If this were my piece I would make a few tweaks to help with the value and composition. I hope you don’t mind I did a quick (very quick!) draw over of your illustration.
I sloped the bushes to add some variety and draw the eyes toward the main characters. Also added a tree in the foreground on the left side so I didn’t follow the masked character’s gaze off the page. Then pushed the contrast between the bushes and the characters. Also adjusted the overall contrast with curves.
I’m no expert but this is what I would do...I hope this helps. Good luck!
