RE: FEBRUARY CONTEST: YETI COOKING
Grateful for svs classes and contests this year, I feel like I’m finally developing a sustainable style that fits my personality

RE: Our SVS Virtual Studio JANUARY 2021!!!!!!
I'm getting a graphic novel pitch finished up and doing a lot of the svs classes. I'm trying to use what I'm learning to do art for a picture book project in 12x12 as well as monthly illustration prompts like #scbwidrawthis

RE: Support Group for Those Trying to Juggle it All
Oh, my friends, this is a difficult club to belong to!
I still struggle with this so much, both my kids are special needs and especially when I was a single Mom with my oldest who had the most sensory struggles when she was little- I cried so much because nobody could relate to how difficult it was. I felt like most people assumed I was "doing it wrong" either as a parent or regards to the system.
It's a little easier now that I've been doing it for over a decade, but when I easily lose an entire day because a sock is wrong- there's a part of me that has a pity party thinking I'll never get there because I can't put in the time that other artists can.
I always wanted people to be able to relate to that more, but not like this!!
I see you all, you are doing great, and it gets better!! -
RE: March contest, help my melted brain
I ended up going tadpole because amphibians are the cutest to me and I had a book idea about him. I’m about 3/4 done I think? Any criticism welcome, still time to change a bit

Yeti home inspiration
I thought this might be inspirational to anyone stuck on their yeti home. We have a local house called the cave house and it would be perfect for a yeti that didn't mind really hot summers lol

Yeti cooking wip
My yeti may be too cute, he is kind of a miniature horse instead of a Clydesdale with his ice cube cabin and his mountain goat friends but I’m going to keep going for consistency!
I’m not sure which of these to go forward with though, or if they fit the bill... -
RE: Feedback on wip western magic
My progress for today, it changed a lot! I want to finish the saddle a bit, and Ive been trying to figure out Will Terry’s color dodge layer trick. Ive seen it in so many videos now but I can’t quite figure it out for some reason. -
Yeti home sweet home, okay so far?
I meant to ask for help in the beginning stages but after I scrapped my first one I just really got into it and didn't want to stop drawing. Any critiques on this one as I go? I wasn't quite sure how to make the chimney fit in so I made it like a bendy straw. I'm a new member so I didn't have a yeti, but mine is kind of a big fuzzy bean that wears long johns underneath ice cube overalls and raises goats in the mountains. I was inspired by Candy Land, Care Bears, and this absolutely ethereal unicorn sticker book I had in the 80's.

RE: MARCH CONTEST: Fairy-Tale Traveler
@ruth Thank you! I have really been inspired by my toddler who has figured out yelling "I'm MAD!"
Don't tell the froglet that face just makes me want to pinch his little balloon cheeks. -

RE: Publishing News!
Congrats! That little white cat, I can't stop looking at him.
Candlewick has such great taste, so many times I've been like "this is so fun, who is the publisher- of course Candlewick." I really love almost everything they print -

RE: “The Moment Before I Lost My Mom” Kids Book Project. . . CONTINUED
This is all so beautiful and perfect. The art is exactly hope through tears, you nailed it.
I’ve had some moment in my art journey lately when I’ve cried because I just wish I could show my Mom.
I really think your Mom would have been so proud of this and you.️
