      1. What do you want to learn?
Concept design for videogames and movies
      2. What class or classes would you like to see in the future?
      1. A course on fantasy and sci-fi vehicle design
      2. A course on creature design that includes dinosaurs.
      3. A course that covers the basics of design and building your visual library
      1. What class have we done already that you'd like to learn more on?
How to draw everything, I would like to see more in-depth treatment of the intersection of shapes and the combining of shapes.

What artists would you like to see demonstrate their approach or techniques?

I like your approach where you start with a rough gesture drawing then draw over the sketch with ink. I was going to suggest that Will demonstrate the technique he used to create his recent fan art, but his new course already does this (thanks Will).

    • RE: What's Your Personal Manifesto?

      Hello Jake,
Here is my attempt to answer the questions posed by this discussion.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

      1. Provide a great life for my daughter
      2. Become a concept artist
      3. Make a contribution to art education

What do you like to do?
I like drawing, playing the bass guitar, mathematics, programming, and problem solving.
What are you really good at doing?
I’m good at problem solving and explaining complex subjects.

      Thanks
      Freddy

    • Hello

      Hello everyone,
My name is Freddy, I have been drawing on an off since I was a kid (mostly copying images using 2D thinking) and always wondered if I had what it takes to draw like some of the professional comic book artist and illustrator I grew up admiring. Until recently the process that these individuals use to create their art work was unknown to me (Form building, perspective, anatomy). Now I understand that draftsmanship is something that can be learned through practice and dedication. Or essentially, that I can produce art work at a professional level as long as I'm willing to put in a lot of hard work and effort. I also realize the value of high quality education, which is why I have subscribed to SVS. Thanks Jake, Terry and the gang for providing quality education at an affordable price.

haven't sketched anything in a while ( just had a kid), here is a recent brain dump. Trying to use the draw anything method and perspective to draw some simple robots and spaceships.
