    • MAY 3rd Thursday

I won't be entering anything in the 3rd Thursday competition this month. I got a little sidetracked. I spent a week in the hospital and while I was there I did do a drawing. It might give you a clue as to why I was in the hospital in the first place.

      A BABY!!!!!!!!!

Her name is Aurelia Grace and I was off spending time with her and not drawing! But it is worth it.

I couldn't help but post something about her.
      Here's a couple actual photos!

    • Graphic Novel Page process!

Hello everyone. I'm in the process of making a Graphic Novel and I published a post on my blog about the stages of a page. I think some of you may find it interesting and hopefully some find ideas or ways to improve their own art. I'm no professional by any means but it helps so much to see other people's processes and techniques. You can learn so much. So I'm trying to give back by posting about the stuff I know. Anyways, enjoy!

I love the virtual studio idea!

Here's a link to what I'm currently working on. It's a graphic novel to raise awareness about sex trafficking. I would appreciate any comments or thoughts.

    • RE: does this work? composition and value... edit: back to the start! composition thumbnails

The composition of the piece is very nice. You have things in the best spots to create flow and movement but keeps you focused on the characters (which are lovely by the way). A couple small things to look at. The window, which I know you are looking at but wanted to reiterate that. Also the flower pot on the right side. Move it in just a touch so that it's not getting cut off. I think that will help it not feel crammed in there. You could remove the acorn to move the flowers. Also the three photos seem a little off. If I was the mouse and I was hanging photos I don't think I would put them there. Maybe just put one photo there. That might help.

Hope any of this helps. Great work and keep it up! Can't wait to see the finished piece.

    • RE: Working on my book and wondering if I should start over with thumbnails

All i know is I laid out all 200 pages of my graphic novel with thumbnails first and it has been the best decision. As I'm going through and drawing the full size pages, I rarely have to think about it because I did all the layout thinking beforehand. It is making the art side of it just that more fun!

    • RE: Best website building services and best platforms to be on

Storenvy is a good one to look into to sell art and have a shop. Pretty good community as well.

For my site (https://www.exodusillustration.com/), I use site123. Super simple and easy but with most of the tools you'd need.

      Hey everyone,
I just wanted to post the project I'm working on here. It's a graphic novel to raise awareness about sex trafficking. I would appreciate any comments or thoughts.

What projects are others working on? Anything big like a graphic novel? I'd love to hear about them and check them out!

I quite like it! The composition is pretty good and I knew exactly who the characters were right away. The only thing I would say is it's a lot of dark. Maybe try to find a coupe other areas to make a little brighter? Nice work friend!

    • RE: Art Feedback

You have a great start to a unique style and feel to your art. I really think the best advice would be to keep at it. Keep learning new techniques by watching tutorials and taking some classes and keep drawing. You're lightyears ahead of so many people because you have projects that you've started and finished. So my advice is to keep doing what you're doing! Nice work my friend!
