RE: APRIL CONTEST: Lisa's robot invention worked great, until it did this...
Hello! This is my first time submitting to the contest. I'd be grateful to receive any feedback.

I'm working on a "draw 50 things" assignment using a bike shop as the setting.

Originally, I was going for a scary character, but this face looks far too friendly.

Draw Fifty Things - Seeking feedback
I tried to hit 50 things in this image, although some are probably too indistinct. I'd love feedback on this image overall.

RE: May prompt thumbnails
@Kat That bear looks so content. One thing that struck me as odd was how the bear is holding the fishing pole. It seems to end but I'm not sure how the pole would be lying against its belly. Super small thing, but thought I'd share it. I also prefer the frog in the second image.
I also like the shape of the tree.

RE: May: Adrift at Sea
@EliaMurrayArt I love the second one as well. Even as just a thumbnail, it has a strong emotional pull to it. Definitely feels of isolation.

RE: Isolation (ideas only!)
I feel like number 7 caught my attention the most and felt like a fresh idea. 3b also feels like it has some good potential.

RE: Draw Fifty Things - Seeking feedback
@Nyrryl-Cadiz I'm sort of fuzzy on the appropriate way to count. I think I have roughly 40 unique objects. If you count repeats (like the cameras, watches, sunglasses, water bottles, etc.) I have much more.

@Neha-Rawat Thanks for the suggestion!

RE: Draw Fifty Things - Seeking feedback
@Kat Thanks! The bike stores I go to are always way crammed with bikes as well. I think I was a little intimidated by the thought of trying to add that many.
I'll revisit and see where I can make them all fit.

RE: Draw Fifty Things - Seeking feedback
@gavpartridge Thanks for your response! I totally see the optical illusion going on with the stairs. They're supposed to be going under the floor and emerging farther back upstairs. I'll try to get the railing in there and probably another glass barrier to make it look right. I'll work on that.

RE: Isolation WIP rough sketch, please critique
@Taigyo Nice sketch! I like the concept here.
Just a couple of "I wonders" for your consideration:
I wonder how it would feel if the bear were in more of an "I'm hibernating, but have insomnia" type position, like they are lying down and looking at the phone in a more lazy posture.
I wonder if you might get some more dramatic isolation effect if the lighting were solely from the phone. Maybe that's what you're going for anyway, but it feels like light is spilling further around the bear 's environment and on its forearm that makes it feel like it's coming from outside the cave.
