This one was so hard for me! I watched the Designing Unique and Appealing Characters by Anna Daviscourt which was such an excellent course. So much of the character and movement from the sketches was lost, but I still had fun

RE: FEBRUARY CONTEST: YETI COOKING
Hello all! I really enjoyed watching my first critique arena this week because I don't have access to critiques. I had already made this before watching and I'm still happy with it in the context of a spot illustration (though I may have gone overboard in the composition!)
I also used this as an excuse to illustrate my favorite food: Caesar salad. I'm not sure what Yetis eat, but mine loves bacon. -
RE: JANUARY CONTEST: YETI HOME
My January Art Contest Entry: Yeti Home. I imagine with all the hype that the Yeti is a tongue in cheek kind of creature! Living in a giant refrigerator with a chimney repurposed for bird houses (do Yetis like to be warm?) I had some trouble getting the image at a small enough resolution so I hope it's visible.

RE: Our SVS Virtual Studio JANUARY 2021!!!!!!
Hello all! This is my first forum post. I can't believe it took me so long to get involved. It is incredible to see works in progress, to watch the support that happens here!
These are watercolor front and back covers I made this winter for my friend's DND zine taking pace in an overgrown forested 80s Tron back to the future kind of world with crystal magic. I have a few more illustrations to do and I'm learning A LOT about layout design and stitching images together in photoshop. -
RE: FEBRUARY CONTEST: YETI COOKING
@Aisleen thank you! It is traditional. Watercolor, pencil crayon and gouache! Then I removed the background when I scanned it.

RE: A Realization
I woke up feeling that way about something I worked on last night! So glad to have stumbled upon this perspective and reminder. I'll definitely be reminding others of the same. Thank you!

@Braden-Hallett Love the personalities in their faces especially the smugness on the kid's face with braces and the missing tooth in the boy who is reacting!

RE: NFT's?
@kylebeaudette We've talked about this a lot at work over the last month. it may be a little bit out of reach now (and was more accessible back in November), but it is totally still worth a try as an artist with a following!! I think to "mint" the NFT is anywhere between $40 - $100 on sites like Mintable: https://mintable.app and Rareable: https://rarible.com

OOO I forgot to mention that Frances is a Scout Faun - always prepared and hoping to save the village... but they have to learn to ask for help.

@ValD The colors and style are great! I love that the yeti has to wear leg warmers. What's the story there?
