Has anyone been watching Chris Riddell’s Instagram lately? It’s mind boggling. This is my favorite. But, on some of the others you can see, he just starts drawing a hand or the edge of a coat and it all just comes out from there.

@neschof I’ll have to look that guy up. But, I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if he does this for his book contracts too. I have his illustrated version of Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere and it looks just like this. He kinda throws out all the rules. It’s a whole other level.

YES! He makes it look like magic! This beautiful illustration of a tree he posted yesterday - someone in the comments asked him how long it took to draw. He said 10 minutes!

I saw/heard him speak in Bologna. Not only does he start doodling and out comes a fully developed drawing, but he tells funny stories in a drily British way at the same time!
