Is forwarding portfolio website a stupid idea?

I bought domain names from google, and built a portfolio using a different and free service. So when people click on my site, they will be redirected to a different website.
Wonder if this a stupid idea? I don't know if there are many people disabling website redirecting function on their browser. If so I'll probably buy additional service from the portfolio website that I am using.
Thanks for your inputs!
@idid i’ve never heard of this happening
@idid A lot of people redirect, and I haven't heard of people mass disabling that. The great thing is that you can easily share the link by voice or in writing and they'll be redirected. Some free services also allow connecting your domain (not redirecting) even if it wasn't bought with them. For instance Adobe Portfolio allow that. It's worth a shot to inquire.

It is not a stupid idea Most people do not look twice at a website link. Your website and art is what they're there for
