Nightfall - WIP - Feedback welcome :)

Hi there, I really love this idea. I must say though, at first I didn't realise that it was under water. I thought it was snow until I saw the fish. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the tree in the foreground, although I'm not sure what exactly. Sorry. Hope this helps!

I like it! I've got some gut reactions here that are probably wrong
1st, I want something warm in the piece. Just a little spot of warm light. Maybe the kid's got a lantern (it'll reinforce the focal point) or the hook has a little light on it to attract the fishies. Or maybe the fishies can be weird angler fish kinds of creatures.
2nd, the fishin line is soooo close to being dead centre of the page. I might try a curving line, or maybe a longer fishing pole.
3rd, I know this is the wrong question to ask when we're dealing with floating sky fish, but what light source is so bright in the sky that there are shadows directly underneath them? The moon is behind them.Reading above comments, I now realize they are underwater. However! My brain is still having a tough time reconciling the 'below' shadows of the fishies with the 'behind' shadow of the trees. No ideas for fixes, sry.
Other than that, this looks really cool!

@Lobalyss Thanks for your input Yeah understand, to be honest the trees were literally scribbled in just to give the sense of there presence. Thanks

@jULIANcHARLTON This is a cool composition! They only suggestion that I have would be to consider making the child and boat a little more distinct so they stand out just a little bit more! Great idea for this image!
Thanks. Good suggestion made Cheers

Thank you for your detailed input
1st, love the idea of a spot of warm light (lantern). Thanks
2nd, good point made
3rd, well spotted... and yes this is on land and the fish are flying. I think Iβd just initially dropped a spot of shadow under the fish without thinking from the outset. Thanks for pointing out
And thank you

@jULIANcHARLTON I think you could make it more readable as floating fish if one of them was floating above the horizen maybe in front of the moon.

@jULIANcHARLTON Oh sorry! Well that looks great then!
