Hello all. My name's Aaron, and I've aways loved to draw. I've been working as a print/web designer for almost all of my career, and am just now considering making the jump into illustration, at least in some capacity. Echoing many of you, I never felt like I could make a living just doing art, so I've been working illustrations into my designs whenever possible, but I finally feel like it's time to get serious or get going, as it were. Looking forward to the online courses and getting to know folks in this world.

@Aaron_T welcome to the forums. There are a handful of web designers on the forums working toward an illustrator career. I am a web designer/developer for the past 18+years which supports my family and in the evening enjoy to draw/paint. Looking forward to seeing your work.

Welcome Aaron! I was in the same place as you a year ago. SVS has helped me to grow so much and this community is very supportive. I'm still working my design job, slowly working up to becoming a full-time illustrator.

NOOB question here...is the SVS Forum tied in any way to your SVS Learn coursework? Or is it a separate account/login and everything? Getting all signed up and just realized it won't accept my forum credentials to allow me to log in.

Hearing that someone has decided to take art as a serious career path makes me happy.
I am not a professional by any means, but I've decided to study art for real almost two years ago and it has been a wonderful, life changing experience that has made me a better person overall!
