APRIL CONTEST VIDEO CRITIQUES!

@Lee-White Thank you so much for the critique. I was crazy nervous. You are spot on and pointed out everything that i couldn't figure out but felt. Awesome. Thank you so much for your time. Not just with mine but with all of them. This was definitely a gift.
To answer your story question:
I was going for an old man waiting to meet up with his son and grand daughter in a public area. Proportions is my next study. and i should have moved them over to the right and hit the graffiti in the left column. though he would not be looking at it. it would direct the eyes that way. I guess.
Sorry about no name. I got to learn. Do you think just pencil work is good enough? Feel like i lose that pencil magic and substitute it with that color magic.
Here is my finished before this critique.

Wow thank you @Lee-White for your critiques and your time!! I’ve just finished watching the whole video and I took so many notes from lots of entries.
I’ll definitely try to improve my image with your critiques, they are so valuable.
I also want to thank fellow students who took time to give me feedback during the process of doing this illustration in the forum, it helped me so much, thanks again!

@Lee-White Get yourself some coffee! (or maybe lemon tea with honey for the throat!) Thank you for all this work reviewing everyone's submission. Very helpful to hear over and over again what is needing to tell a story. Thanks so much for the time you spent.

@Lee-White holy bajeezus I am not only blown away by the thoroughness and depth of your critique but also by the breadth of your critique to all of us!!!!! The value you guys add to SVS continues to increase. This is one of my favorite communities I’ve ever been a part of.
And on the storytelling aspect of your critique, my friends just told me similar feedback and they’re not even in the industry! Things lined up pretty well in this and I am seeking to understand the story behind my art. Cheers and thank you
@Lee-White thanks so much for doing this marathon crit! Even though I am too chicken to participate myself , I learnt so much from your comments on everyone’s images. Good work everybody! Standard is so high!!

@Lee-White Wow, this is an unexpected and awesome gift! Thank you for taking the time for this. I was struggling with making my crazy-contraption image more readable, and your suggestions are very helpful. I find your commitment to assisting other artists inspiring and beautiful!
Hey Lee, thanks a lot for a great critique video for all the entries. Wishing a fast recovery to your vocal cords!
Thank you, @Lee-White I really appreciate all of these helpful video critiques and, of course, especially mine. So many good things to think about when watching them all. You are so NICE for doing this. I plan to start work on redrawing my dinosaurs to get that 3/4 view. @Maureen-BF

Seriously, @Lee-white, WOW. Sheer gold. Thank-you.
Unbelievable! Being new to this, I wasn't expecting ANY feedback at all, so this is truly a gift. Thank you Lee!

@Lee-White thanks for doing this. They were great.
It is funny my wife listens to them over my shoulder (she is not an artist) and after having the last class with you she was like "It is good to hear him again. It is like I know him now." So at the very least you make an impression.

On the old west one in the 3rd video, I thought the guy with the gun was getting ready to shoot the rope. That's why the guy about to be hanged doesn't look too worried...? Like in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." ?

@Lee-White This is the best gift yet. I am learning so much by listening to your feedback as you review a piece. And you do it so professionally and kind and direct-all in one.
For "a six year old in a middle aged body"-thumbs up.
