Drawing/Coloring a background for childrens illustration, comic, cartoon

I have a tough time creating backgrounds for my web comics. something that is informative yet subtle enough to fade into the background... using a color palette that fade into the background... -connotes has depth

Are there any tutorials at SVS that you could recommend?

Hi Linus,

I would definitely check out Creative Environment Design and Creative Composition classes. It will teach you all the principles and fundamentals of creating backgrounds for any medium really. Once you get a grasp on that then you can apply it to how you want your backgrounds to be in your web comic. Hope that helps!
