<![CDATA[Goodbye my friend: acrylic illustration]]>First time trying a full acrylic painting. I did a few studies to practice a bit. Still learning to control the paint. This piece was inspired by the work of illustrator Valeria DoCampo.

I rather like the “cartoony” style, and my first thought was how nicely you handled the outlines around the girl. This is a cute concept overall.

Thanks! Yeah... the two ways of rendering are not matching here. Doing the cartoony characters wasn't the initial intention but since I was just practicing a bit I tried it.

I feel like the painterly way you are handling the sky and the water clashes a bit with cartoony, thick, black, contours though.
