HOW TO MAKE MONEY IN ILLUSTRATION
-
It's happening today or tomorrow. I'll keep ya posted as things progress! : )
-
I can't wait! Thanks, Lee! @Lee-White
-
Don't you love being so in demand @Lee-White ....looking forward to the business and the watercolor class!
-
how about we open a bottle of champagne when this course comes up? ^_^
(only joking, I'm sure you're all very busy )
-
I don't think that's a bad idea, Audrey. And unlike you I am not joking, when I say: This is very annoying! We are put off from one week to the next. And we pay monthly fees for new courses.
I know that sounds very harsh, but that's how I feel about it.Please don't make promises, if you can't hold them, Lee. It's ok to say that the class will be delayed. Just don't say "today/tomorrow/end of the week", because we are looking forward to it and get disappointed.

Couple of things, the class is up! and ready for viewing! so let's pop that champagne! : )
Fabienne, we are sorry about the scheduling of this one. The reason it's been tricky is BECAUSE we have so many classes coming out. We have been launching a TON of new content. So much that we needed to rearrange how we released them so they wouldn't overlap. Still, I do see your point and we are working on getting the schedule figured out better.
When we contract other teachers to build classes, we don't know exactly when they will be ready. So that is why we have to have a general estimate on the due date. In this case we had a bunch all finish at the exact same time (mine included).
Hopefully you guys are watching all the new content we have been releasing and doing the work in the videos. You do pay for us to release new content, but you also need to do the work in them which can (and should) take quite a bit of time to master. We have a lot of great things coming up soon too so time to get busy! Post your work if you get a chance. We like to see how the student work looks from the course material.
Let me know if you have any questions at all. : )

Thank you very much for the response and problem solving, Lee! It's nice to get an insight of what's going on and the reasons for the delay. I am ready for some champagne! But wait... it's 7 o'clock in the morning over here. I need breakfast first.
So thanks again Lee ā I am happy and looking forward to watch the 2. part.
"Prosit! / Cheers!"
ā Fabienne -
@Lee-White Thank you , Thank you! I'm so happy that it is available! I follow you on Facebook and have seen how busy you've been, so I really appreciate you posting the next segment. I'll try to leave notes of my progress for you to see how it's helping me.
@Fabienne I agree that it can get annoying. But realize that all of the instructors have lives as freelance artists. I've been doing a LOT of research of what it takes to be freelance and it's very difficult (which is why I'm so interested in this class)! You have to promote yourself, keep up with clients, make work, improve work, make revisions, and market yourself to the right crowd. It's very demanding and I'm only starting out, so I can only imagine the work load that comes with being a professional.
The second thing to point out is that SVS is very affordable compared to most of what's available online. While It can be aggravating, we are compensating that for paying less. You have every right to feel upset, I'm just trying to point out some reasons and to show that we are all human here.
Hope you enjoy the class too! -
@Christina-Taylor-Brown I am a freelance illustrator since one year and I know what burden they have to handle ā although I'm just a beginner and no pro like Lee, Jake and Will Terry. (And I have no children at home (yet) to worry about.)
It was the way things were announced that made me upset. Like I said: It's ok if the course is delayed, just don't promise something. Thanks and have fun, too! ^^
