"Using the reference pictures , draw the figure as best you can without lifting your drawing medium from the page. As you work, consider that this is about making a connection between what you are looking at and what you are putting on the paper. The final result will look rough, but that’s okay. Take your time with this, as it will feel uncomfortable. Concentrate on the kind of mark you want to make and where you want to go each time you move your pastel. if you need to make big jumps between part of the figure, drag the pastel to that point rather than lifting off. This will force you to connect the visual information you are seeing with the physical application of the mark making."

@blackhound-rise these are pretty good. I like the first one especially you really captured the pose and emotion even with just one continuous line.
