Animated/illustrated fashion video
-
Hi there, I just made this tiktok video and I wanted some feedback on it. I wrote it, illustrated it, animated it and put it together. I wanna do more videos like these. What do you think? Interesting?

@emergingeden This idea is super interesting! The only thing is that if you're making it FOR tiktok, it should be a vertical video. I found myself wishing that you had used up the space on my screen more effectively.

@emergingeden Hey Evelyn! That video is well done, very cool that you're doing the entire thing on your own. I've been going down the tiktok path myself and have mixed feelings about it - I made a few videos explaining an exploring color theory and how to make unique color palettes with watercolor pencils:

color palette videoAfter some time I saw that I was only getting views and likes when I talked about color - the only problem is: I want to be a kidlit illustrator who tells stories, not a "tiktok-er" who only talks about color.
So to sum up, I was spending so much time making what I would deem social media tutorial content that I ended up neglecting working on what I really wanted to do.
Sorry this is so long, but I think what it comes down to is asking yourself if you want to be the tiktoker that makes illustrated videos about fashion? Could be a great niche to get into! And if the answer is yes then keep at it! But if you're creating that because you think that tiktok viewers will respond to it well even though it might be just a temporary explorative part of your art path, well then I'd reevaluate.

@Patricia-Dishmon Right, I have to agree with this
