Sharing some thumbnails for the April contest. I don’t know if I’ll have time to paint any of them as detailed as my Scarecrow traveller but I might try some inking and a wash of some sort. It’s been a while and my inking is a little rusty.

The tortoise is my fav for sure, with the mountain/hill top inn being my second fav.

@jakecroweLove the tortoise inn!It is something else..have you considered making it multileveled with one tortoise shell on top of another? (I am thinking 3 levels,bottom big shell,middle medium sized and top one,small )

@Georgios-Christopoulos that’s an interesting idea to explore. My initial thought was this is the final resting place of a giant tortoise on the move that someone took over many years later, but I think your right, some height could add some flavor.

A bit of a messy thumbnail but I’m loving the turtle shells. I’ve decided the Turtle Inn has a bit of a crow problem that our little hero might be able to help clear up. Or maybe he’s beginning to get a bit of a bird following himself...
