February 3rd Thursday - 58 Years of Love
-
My 3rd Thursday is in honor of my parents who are celebrating 58 years of marriage this year and they are still in love. Please let me know if there is more I should do, thanks!
-
@Thrace Wow 58 years! That is awesome! - Image looks good too
I think what jumps out at me is that there is a golden sunset light suffusing everything but the foreground - I did a quick google search for "golden sunlight green grass" and found lots of examples of how grass might look in this instance and it is a bit more to the yellow side where it is touched by the light - I think their shadows should be longer possibly too - also I believe this would be a case where you would have a core shadow rather than an edge shadow in the main volume of objects and figures - one other thing is the reflections of the birds would be directly below where they are in the sky and also would be set the same distance down from the horizon line as they are above it.... I think ...... i am quite sure I am not an authority on this though
- basically it looks really nice and congratulation to your parents!
-
@Kevin-Longueil thank you Kevin, I will work on those issues tomorrow!
-
@Thrace Lovely illustration Thrace! And, what a blessing! 58 years!
-
Great image @Thace. love thew colours.
-
Thank you so much, Lee and Leontine!
-
Really sweet tribute!
-
@Thrace Hi Thrace - This is a really nice composition - only thing I would change is to make the trees more organic. They are trees but they don't read as trees until you look closer. Personally I think it would have more impact if the heart was seen last... this isn't a right or wrong thing - just a personal suggestion. Nice!
-
@Will-Terry Thank you will I have wondered myself if it the trees looked too much like a frame and I guess they do. I will work on them!
-
@Thrace I just found the draw over when I went to check on what I wrote, thank you so much that looks 100x better to me!!!!
-
Update, please let me know what you think of changes and if the color of the trees is right.
-
@Thrace Much better!
-
@Will-Terry thanks for your help!
-
This is so beautiful Thrace! I'm so impressed by how much your work has improved, and you have kept your style! Simply wonderful!!
-
@Thrace I love the back story on this piece. And if SVS's gave each other awards - you would get my vote for Most Improved! It's so clear how hard you have been working and how much better you get with each new project you share!
-
@Lynn-Larson thank you so much for your kind thoughts!!!
-
@Rich-Green I think that is the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my art!! You always give me so much encouragement, thank you so much, Rich!!!
