Kelly’s Yeti Concept WIP
-
This was the sketch I decided to move forward with for the December contest. Any feedback I can get as go is much appreciated. I can’t ever seem to make it into top 16 and I really want to change that. I can’t wait to see all of your entries!

@K-Flagg Your Yeti has so much spunk and it seems to know who it is. I think you have a real nice chance getting into the top 16. And the forward design is a super cool pose. I look forward to seeing it progress. The only suggestion might be to have it look at us, to help connect us instead right now it looks like it's looking off to the distance. Just shift it's eyes to look down at us would be suffice for me personally and would really speak to its larger than us. I don't know if that matters so much in a concept design work though.

@K-Flagg It’s scary how ours are similar in physical traits: horns and tusks. It’s like yours is a punk teenager to my crotchety ole-timer. Maybe if we both make it we won’t have to face off against each other, cause yours is great!

@Heather-Boyd thanks Heather! The blue in his eyes will actually be his pupils. His eyes are going to glow blue. I'm working on my color scheme now.

@chrisaakins haha that is funny. I figured the grumpy reclusive attitude of a yeti was very similar to a teenage attitude so thats where I went with it but the same could be said for old timers too haha. I love your design with beard. You should give him a cool walking stick and push the old thing more.

@K-Flagg ooh this is fun! I love the initial sketch. The horns are great and I like the broken tooth:) I think there’s something funny going on with the size of the torso and the right arm there... almost as if the torso is too small or the arm is coming out in front of the body too much. Could just be something to look at in more final sketches. Looks great though! Keep it up.
