Together WIP - Initial Sketches Feedback

Hey everyone! Was hoping to get some feedback on what I'm thinking of doing, which is basically a big feast in the forest of animals. I did a run of thumbs and came up with a concept I liked and did a couple of different angles. I did a more formal sketch to see how things were working. How does this read so far?

@jdubz I like the concept! I think it nails the theme.
I would like to see more variation in size of the animals. Right now, except for the bear, all the animals are occupying only the lower 1/3-1/2 of the page. Since the animals are your main characters, I'd like to see them bigger.
Maybe you can have the smaller animals in front of the table trying to climb up so the overlap will show depth and it'll give you space to make the other animals bigger?
Also, with so many characters, it would be good to plan your focal points and how you want the viewers eye to travel. MY eyes first go to the fox (because of position and silhouette ) and then travels across the right through all the animals (but they're all the same size), finally the bear and the birds maybe. The 2 animals to the far left sort of feel neglected .

@Neha-Rawat thanks for the feedback! I was having a hard time figuring out what the focal point would be. I feel like the whole piece is about being together even with their differences so I kinda thought to make it sweepingly interesting but keep the eye moving back and forth.

Ohh interesting idea. I'll play around with that.
I'm hoping to make the raccoon something of a comic relief character because where everyone else is relatively normal he's like frantically collecting all the food. Maybe I can make him bigger and get him more in the frame. I'm thinking maybe the fox and pig can get bigger and then I can contrast that with the bunnies, frogs and squirrels.

@jdubz Your more detailed drawing is based on the second thumbnail, right? Because that thumbnail has all the size variation and freshness that Neha is talking about. In the shaded version, my eye bounces quickly from the cat on the left to the pig on the right, and then settles on the mouse with the cheese. It's a clear focus and I think it would be a successful piece.
Did I just throw a wrench in things?

Luckily it's still just a rough sketch. I was trying to make it more detailed and wide, but I probably changed it too much. I was thinking "why the heck would a cat be in the forest?" so I eliminated him hah. Maybe I should just not worry about it or make another animal that same size.The pig was supposed to originally be on the right, but then I thought the fox trying to offer him a ham roast would be funny so I put the bear on the right

Some rough changes - made the character on the left a beaver, and I made the bear a lot bigger to help contrast everyone else. Then I pulled things in and simplified the pose of the fox.
Does this seem to fix those composition issues on the left side??
