@stringfellowart I think the flip works great. Love the characters :).
I wouldn't offset the text though and I feel the lower paragraph is too close to the character's elbow.
Look forward to see the end result ;)

RE: Fragmented art time
Thank you all for sharing your experiences and some tips. It is very helpful. It is so great to see that all of you are pursuing your art no matter what. No excuse for me then. Lol.
And, yes, kids are the best to fill up the creative back account :)
I am going to implement a couple of ideas above into my routine and report to you in a few weeks. I will also post on instagram and here more often to be more disciplined.
Hope my little doesn't show up in the crack of the door after bedtime. Lol
Fragmented art time
I was away from the forum for a while. But in the meantime, I started SVS courses and love them. I drew the attached as per Jake's "How to draw everything"
So, I try to draw as much as I can but with a baby and a demanding full time job it is challenging to find time. I am happy if I have an hour/day to draw. I feel like I need longer periods to be in my ‘creative zone’ but I have no more time.
Anybody else has similar setup? :) Any tricks on how to stay productive if your ‘art time’ is very shot and fragmented?
RE: I Don't Know Where I Want To Be In 5 Years
@whoopidoo If your topics are dark don't force yourself to be all fluffy and cutie. :) Be dark :P
Photoshop is frightening at first. I hated it when I first used it and tried to avoid it for a while. But once you understand the dry foundation you will love it. It gets intuitive after a while. You don't need to know all the functions to work in it.
Also a good introduction to digital is an iPad with an apple pencil. The iPad drawing/painting apps are super simple to use and geared towards artist.
As for what you'd like to do, try simplifying your goals to one or two most important things. The others that are not that important will just take away time from your main goals. But I am struggling with the same thing of not knowing where to go. :)
RE: Hello World
@simon-prime Jake Parker is always talking about the creative bankaccount. In order to be creative you should fill up your "creative bankaccount" with experiences such as reading a book, visit a museum, hike with friends etc. Listen to the 3 Point Perspective podcast. The SVSguys have an episode about the creative bankaccount. Hope this helps. ;)
