Art Licensing ? Templates and Lists
I watched the Art Licensing class last night and thought it was really good. This has always been an area I wanted to break into.
One question I have is do I make a different website for it or just make a separate page for all my art licensing things in addition to my front page that has my children book illustration portfolio?
What are others doing?
I see all the other downloads, does anyone have it? Thanks!
I was looking for the templates as well. Loved the class, btw :-)
Personally, my plan is just to have a separate page on my main site for licensing images, and keep my children's illustration portfolio as my main page. Since it's all art and there could even be some overlap I don't see any reason to make an entirely new site.
As far as manufacturers go, in my research into licensing (before I knew they were releasing this class) I found this list which focuses on greeting card manufacturers, though many of them also make other products as well: https://kateharperblog.blogspot.com/2016/12/artist-writer-submission-guidelines-for.html though of course I'd me interested in seeing Gina's list as well.
@sarah-luann I agree- I think there were a number of things she mentioned in her talk that would be in the downloads but weren't. Probably an oversight. Maybe one of the admins can add them?
I'm sorry, @Lee-White you said that the templates and list of manufacturers is part of the Class notes and assignments, but it's not. The document has three pages, but the last page is blank. The document text ends after the first class assignment. Is possible that it was only partially uploaded? Am I just not seeing it?
same problem I noticed, really wanted to get started with those templates!
They said on the class discussion board that they are working on it. I'm sure the downloads will be available as soon as they fix it. :D
The class is awesome, I'm looking forward to part 2.

Here is a fairly large list of companies that purchase art

@rcartwright Thanks, that is a list of agencies that rep artists. The manufacturers purchase the art.
