WIP Independent 'Artist'

Your line work looks fantastic. Nice job.

This is turning out great. I would suggest turning one of those guys into a woman. I find it a little distracting to just have one woman in there. Seems more natural to have a mix of genders for a crowd like this, unless there's a specific reason to have it be almost all males. If this isn't going to be colored, I would also make sure it's clear that that is indeed a bra as opposed to glasses. A pattern or some lace or something.
Good progress. I'll be looking forward to the finished piece!

Fun concept, and your nickname is now, " Wild Bill."
-
@evilrobot Thanks!
@tessw I noticed it myself as well haha, there is no specific reason on why there arent a lot of women.. The background will have more women in it. The pattern idea is good, I will use that, but I will color it anyway :). I';m tweaking it all over . the desk will also have flowers, gifts and stuff like that.
@smithdraws haha thanks!
-
I really like this concept and your drawing is coming out great! My only suggestion would be to leave off the text of 'independent artist'. Your visual speaks to lots of people, but adding that kind of niche detail to the 'dream' might block them out again.
-
@sara-glennon Good tip, and you're right, I'll leave that out :). Thanks!
-
The background crowd is ready. Sometimes not knowing where the detail ends, but decided on a row per row basis haha. Transformed the forground guy in a woman ;). Added gifts on the table. Hope you like it. Last part is behind Bill: adding security guards and a 'doorman' :). Suggestions and feedback are always welcome!!
-
You did an amazing job with the crowd. I'm impressed with how detailed it looks, but it's ordered so it doesn't draw too much attention and you can still focus on the foreground. Thumbs up.
-
This is incredible! I love the many small details.
-
Well, the line work is done:
and then I added shadows and contrast, that still needs a little tweaking:
Whats left is coloring :)... Hope you guys like it. Comments/Suggestions are always welcome!

This is amazing, great work
-
Redid the shadows, following Will Terry's 10 steps of digital painting. Quite please now :). Now colors!
-
@dennis-spaans Yes, I like the values better on this one too. Awesome.
-
@rhirsch Thanks
-
Ok, the colors are done, and Im pretty proud of it. Next step: make it a dream. It will be in contrast to the cold office, so the dream is very warm and cuddly haha. Hope you like it!
-
@dennis-spaans Love it! Can't wait to see it all put together. Tick tock!!
-
Done!
-
Turned out great!

Great job!
