This website is a great resource for doing figure drawing study. I'd say if you can get to a live figure drawing class go for it but as a virtual tool this is very helpful.

Stephen Silver's Youtube is great for advice and watching some of his processes: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvNO82-AgrJFYNkvdBWKSng
New Master's Academy has some really cool figure drawing courses and tutorials, not to mention they have a youtube channel that has some timed poses: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCliUF1c8m7MUspaCykJljSg
Matthew Mattesi has a decent website with some tutorials on character design and dynamic poses, which you can view a sample of but need a subscription to watch : http://www.drawingforce.com/
I sometimes use www.quickposes.com if I need to brush up on my gesture work ( which is a lot)
A lot of what I watch has already been mentioned above. I like Instagram for some inspiration, and incidentally there are a lot of artists on Instagram/Twitter that use the new Periscope app to live stream some of their sketching. Hope that helps.

Books
- George Bridgeman's figure drawing books -- The set linked to is very affordable.
- Andrew Loomis's Figure Drawing for All It's Worth -- All his books are finally back in print, which is awesome.
- Ernest Norling's Perspective Made Easy -- Excellent visual guide.
- Understanding Comics and Making Comics by Scott McCloud -- The classics.
As a kid, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, which LuAnn suggested above, was my first drawing class, so I have to mention it as well. The science is somewhat inaccurate/outdated now, but the exercises are highly recommended for anyone who is struggling to draw accurately from life.
Online Classes
- CG Master's Academy - Excellent teachers, many of whom also teach at colleges/universities, every assignment is critiqued, entertainment industry focus
- Watt's Atrlier of the Arts -- Fine art foundations in drawing and oil painting
Other Online Resources
- http://drawabox.com/ -- Free fundamental sketching assignments.
- Croquis Cafe -- Nude figure model videos.

I'd just like to throw Marshall Vandruff's name into the metaphorical hat/ring/pot thing.
